Cold chain monitoring powered by SLOC

Cold chain monitoring made easy! With the SLOC Load Carrier (SLC) and Telekom Deutschland's radio network, food transports such as fresh or frozen goods in thermal containers can be monitored fully automatically without their own power supply.

Complete transparency & CO2 reduction

Due to the monitoring with high-end IoT devices from SLOC, the cold chain remains transparent from loading to delivery, possible deviations on the transport route can be detected and appropriate measures can be taken. Another important advantage of this solution is the verifiability of compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

In addition to transparency, the more flexible use of the fleet and containers reduces truck empty runs and thus cuts CO2 emissions and costs.

The following information gaps are now a thing of the past:

  • Where is the truck with the containers?
  • Is the cold chain intact or interrupted?
  • When was a critical temperature reached, how long did this last?
  • Were there strong shocks and are the goods damaged?
  • Do replacement goods have to be procured and the insurance company notified?
  • Were the goods delivered?
  • Can the settlement be made?
  • Has the load carrier been returned?
  • Can it be cleaned?

 

SLOC Load Carrier

The SLC-200 can track all types of goods and load carriers and provide information on location, temperature, vibrations, etc.. Via Telekom Deutschland’s NB-IoT or 2G network, this DIN-compliant data is transmitted throughout Europe and can then be retrieved by customers via an interface and imported into their IoT systems.

SLOC Devices can be quickly and easily adapted to individual customer needs over the air from the desktop thanks to the innovative basic technology. The built-in sensor technology uses temperature profiles to detect which process step the container is currently in. Based on this information, the respective monitoring logic for e.g. frozen food, meat or vegetables is then activated.

This tracking logic works with the SLC-200 for all load carriers and goods, making it easier to control even expensive special load carriers in the automotive industry or to monitor damage (damage recognition).
